The Scottsboro Police Department held a retirement ceremony for two well respected and decorated employees.
Captain Barry Capps served the city of Scottsboro for 25 years. Captain Capps began his law enforcement career in 1992 as a patrol officer. Climbing through the ranks to retire as captain of the detective division and part of the departments command staff.
Dispatcher Ken Whitt served the city of Scottsboro and residents of Jackson County for 19 years. Ken began his career with Scottsboro in 1999. Ken was a great asset to the department and will be missed by many.
