NARCOTICS INVESTIGATION LEADS TO DRUG TRAFFICKING ARRESTS

April 5, 2019 - Scottsboro Police investigators responded to a local business in reference to theft of a controlled substance (oxycodone). As a result of the investigation a search warrant was obtained for a residence located in the 400 block of Jeffery Drive in Scottsboro. During a search of the residence investigators located over 700 oxycodone pills, with a street value over $21,000, along with drug paraphernalia.

    Sarah Rita Sanders, 61, and David Prince Sanders, 44, both from Scottsboro were arrested and charged with drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Both were booked into the Jackson County jail and have since been released on bond.
