The Scottsboro Police Department will be joining the fight against Childhood Cancer during the months of July and August. Childhood Cancer month is in September and members of the Scottsboro Police Department will be selling the shirts at different events and venues during the summer or you may come to the police department during business hours to purchase your shirt. The gold shirts represent the gold ribbon as it is the symbol for the prevention of childhood cancer. People are asked to wear the shirts in the month of September to show support for the cause. The shirts will be sold for ten (10) dollars and all proceeds will be donated to the local “Sadye Fund” and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
