Sometime during the night of Saturday December 10, 2016 and Sunday Morning December 11, 2016, unknown person or persons took mail from residential mailboxes in the County Park neighborhood and Clemens Road areas.  Police received a call at approximately 0727 hours on Sunday morning reporting mail envelopes and packages were scattered about the street on Clemons Road.  Responding officers collected the mail and re-delivered any unopened mail.  All opened mail was taken into evidence and will be used to determine the person(s) responsible for the theft.  The United States Postal Service was contacted and the Scottsboro Police will be investigating the case along with the Postal Service Inspector.

The Scottsboro Police Department would like to ask the public to be diligent in their perspective neighborhoods and report any and all suspicious activity.  Residents are also advised to check their mailboxes, porches and driveways for any deliveries throughout the day as police suspect this incident took place sometime during Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
