SCOTTSBORO POLICE RAISE $6,200.00 DOLLARS FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER FUND
The Scottsboro Police Department raised a total of $6,200.00 selling fund raiser shirts to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and a local childhood cancer help group called “Sayde’s Fund”.
On Wednesday November 29, 2017, the two groups were presented with checks in the amount of $3,100.00 each from the Scottsboro Police Department.
This is the 3rd year that the Scottsboro Police Department has donated funds to the two groups to help with the needs of victims and their families that fall victim to the sickness.
The fund raiser starts every year in October to prepare for the campaign to recognize Childhood Cancer Awareness month in September.
The men and women of the Scottsboro Police Department help with the promotion and sales of the Childhood Cancer Awareness t-shirts to try to raise as much money as possible to support the cause.
